Terms of Service & Privacy Policy Skip to main content
This document is a general-purpose template customized with your business details. Consider having a lawyer review it before publishing — especially the payment data section — since requirements vary by state and industry.

1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to https://garlandelearning.com (the “Site”), operated by Garland Digital Learning Design LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Site, creating an account, or making a purchase, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy (together, the “Policy”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Site. If you are using the Site on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business to this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.

2.1 Information you provide

  • Contact information: name and email address, when you sign up, subscribe to updates, or contact us.
  • Account information: username, password, and any profile details you add.
  • Payment and financial information: billing name, billing address, and payment details (see Section 4 for how this is handled).
  • Communications: any messages, support requests, or feedback you send us.

2.2 Information collected automatically

  • IP address, browser type, device information, and general location.
  • Pages visited, time spent on the Site, and referring/exit pages, via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 7).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Create and manage your account, and send you email confirmations, receipts, and service updates.
  • Process payments and prevent fraud.
  • Send newsletters, promotions, or product updates, where you’ve opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Respond to support requests and communicate with you about your account.
  • Improve the Site, understand usage patterns, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Comply with legal obligations, such as tax and accounting requirements tied to payment records.

4. Payment & Financial Data

When you make a purchase, we collect the billing information necessary to process the transaction, such as your name, billing address, and payment method.

We do not store full credit card, debit card, or bank account numbers on our own servers. Payments are processed by a third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe), which is PCI-DSS compliant and handles your card data directly under its own privacy and security policies. We recommend reviewing Stripe’s policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.

We retain limited transaction records (e.g., amount, date, order description) for accounting, tax, fraud-prevention, and customer service purposes, as required by law.

5. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the Site — payment processors, email delivery services, analytics providers, and hosting providers — bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal authorities, when required to comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, property, or safety.
  • A successor entity, in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality terms.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and access controls on stored data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at hello@garlandelearning.com.

7. Cookies & Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, remember preferences, and understand how the Site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit some features of the Site.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you.
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing of your information.

To exercise these rights, contact us at hello@garlandelearning.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (e.g., 30–45 days).

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations (including financial record-keeping requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, information is deleted or anonymized.

10. Acceptable Use

By using the Site, you agree not to:

  • Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or networks connected to the Site.
  • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Site, including through malware or excessive automated requests.
  • Provide false payment or account information, or attempt fraudulent transactions.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

The Site and its content are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Garland Digital Learning Design LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.

Nothing in this Policy limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date, and where required, we will notify you directly (e.g., by email). Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.

Refund Policy

Garland E-Learning Design LLC

Effective date: September 26, 2026

Our training courses are digital products delivered immediately after purchase. Because course content cannot be returned once it has been accessed, all sales are final except as described below.

When a refund is available

You may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase only if no team member seats have been assigned and no course content has been accessed on the account beyond the course overview page.

When a refund is not available

Refunds are not available if any of the following is true:

  • More than 7 days have passed since purchase.
  • Any seat has been assigned to a team member.
  • The purchaser or any team member has started any lesson or module.
  • The request is based on a change of mind, unused seats, or not having time to complete the training.

We do not offer partial refunds for unused seats.

Seat transfers instead of refunds

If a team member leaves your organization before completing the training, the team lead may reassign that seat to another person at no charge, provided the original person has not completed the course.

Technical problems

If you cannot access the course because of a problem on our end, contact us and we will work to fix it. If we cannot restore your access within 5 business days, you will receive a full refund.

Duplicate charges

We will always refund accidental duplicate charges in full.

How to request a refund

Email hello@garlandelearning.com with the purchaser’s name, the email address used at checkout, and the reason for the request. We respond within 3 business days.

Chargebacks

If you have a billing concern, please contact us first. We resolve most issues quickly. If you file a payment dispute without contacting us, we will suspend access for the purchaser and all team members while we review the dispute, and we will provide the payment processor with account records, including login and course activity.

After a refund

When we issue a refund, access for the purchaser and all team members ends, and any completion certificates are void.

1. Agreement

By purchasing or accessing any course on garlandelearning.com, you agree to these Terms and our Refund Policy.

2. License to use the training

4. Access period

Access lasts 365 days from the date of purchase, unless ended earlier under Section 8.

5. Payment

Prices are listed in U.S. dollars and are charged at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store card details.

6. Intellectual property

All course materials, including videos, text, graphics, and quizzes, belong to Garland E-Learning Design LLC and are protected by copyright.

8. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end access without refund if an account shares logins, redistributes content, files a fraudulent payment dispute, or otherwise violates these Terms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to the training is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including losses from security incidents.
